There are more than 150 museums and exhibition houses scattered throughout the city. Therefor our Brussels museum guide for the museums that are not to be missed when in Brussels:
#1 Mont des Arts
The cultural centre of Brussels is the Mont des Arts. A whole range of museums are situated on the hill in the centre. These include the Musical Instruments Museum, whose cafe enjoys a wonderful view of the Royal Palace and the René Magritte Museum. The surrealist spent a large proportion of his life in Brussels. The house where he lived in Jette is also a museum nowadays.

You can find a list of other museums here.
#3 MIMA – Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Arts

#4 Atomium
Built in 1958 for the global exhibition Expo, today the Atomium is the symbol of Brussels. The 102 metre-high structure represents an iron molecule which has been magnified 165 billion times. Several of the shiny spheres and the futuristic tubes between them are walkable and contain exhibitions about the history of the Atomium and Expo 58. You can take the lift to the highest sphere, where the Panorama restaurant is situated, and indulge in haute cuisine – with a phenomenal skyline view included.
