Amsterdam Festival of Lights 2024-2025

Welcome to Amsterdam, a city famous for its picturesque canals, vibrant culture, and, of course, the spectacular Amsterdam Light Show. Edition 13 of the Amsterdam Light Festival is set to dazzle from Thursday, November 28, 2024, to Sunday, January 19, 2025.  

The Amsterdam Light Show 2024-2025 revolves around the theme Rituals. Throughout history, rituals have guided people through various transitions—from past to future, winter to summer, or youth to adulthood. Light holds a special place in many of these rituals and adds a mystical dimension that no other element can. During this year’s edition, 27 light artworks will shed a unique light on the theme.

Boat Tour: a must-do experience 

One of the best ways to immerse yourself in the Amsterdam Light Festival is through the Amsterdam Light Festival Boat Tour.

The artwork utilizes approximately 15,000 kWh over the 53-day festival, equivalent to the energy consumed during two football matches in a stadium.
