The best coffee in Milan: our 5 favorite coffee spots you should not miss!
Italy is not only a country that offers history and culture but is also rich in traditions. One of the most famous daily rituals of Italians is to drink espresso or cappuccino at the bar to start a day in the best possible way. Over the time this tradition has evolved. Before all Italians would drink their coffee in a hurry and at the bar counter, before going to work. Today it has also become a moment of relaxing, disconnecting from the busy day or just catching up with a friend.

#1 La Posta Bistrò
One of them is La Posta Bistrò. La Posta is not a coffee bar but a restaurant / bistro that offers Italian cuisine. Perfect spot to start your day in Milan, as they have amazing breakfast! The coffee is excellent and the retro atmosphere makes the experience of drinking a coffee even more beautiful. The main room is very nicely furnished, it’s nostalgic and reminds of an old post office with a series of vintage objects, which take us back in time, creating a familiar and welcoming atmosphere.
#2 Giacomo caffè
Want to try great coffee in a real Italian bar? The right place to do so is Giacomo caffè! Caffé is located inside the Royal Palace. As soon as you enter, you will feel like you are in a another era. It is a perfect place to go after walking trough the busy streets of Milan. MEININGER inside tip: there is a terrace upstairs with a view over the Milan Cathedral.

They are also offering the breakfast menu which includes coffee, orange juice, special toast with salmon, fruit, eggs and bacon or a brioche. There is a nice and personal interior touch to it, a map of the world with polaroid images from travelers who have visited Hyggie and wanted to leave a memory of their special journey. If you want you can do it too!
#4 Starbucks Reserve Roastery
Yes, Starbucks! But it’s not the classic Starbucks you’re used to. Starbucks Reserve Roastery is a coffee factory, bar and a restaurant.
