Of course, the current Checkpoint Charlie somehow is Disneyland. You might not be aware of this but the historical Checkpoint Charlie, which served as a border crossing between the American and the Russian sector of the once-divided Berlin, actually stood a few feet further than its present location. For a true burger fan Austria might be a tricky place, but lighten up if you’re in Salzburg. Two outlets of Burgermeister serve you burgers with tasty bread buns and organic meat in 13 different styles starting from 4,50€. Salzburg’s most impressive landmark in the middle of the city just can’t be missed. The best way to explore it is to take the cable car up, be amazed by the view over the city and then walk through the grounds. To get back down you can either take the cable car or simply walk down the steep road, which is a trip well worth it. And you might as well stop at the Stieglkeller for a beer or two on the way down.
