The coolest local bars hotspots in our city Vienna
Café Leopold – Art, Music and Afterwork Drinks
The café of the museum Leopold is a well-known meeting spot for both locals and tourists. Either to meet during the day for a coffee (or two) – or after dark for a glass of wine or beer (two or three…). Try ordering like a local: “Weißer Spritzer” for white wine with sparkling water or a “Seidl” for 0,3l of beer from the tap. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturday nights there is DJ music as well as on Sunday during the day – check online for their program. On the weekend the “Salon” – a big room at the back of the café – also opens its doors to the dancing crowd. Expect electro music, deep house, funk or soul – depending on the night.

Sky Bar – Drinks With Flair And a View
At Skybar you can never go wrong with high heels, pearls and a little black dress. Or anything the designer shops in the first district are currently selling. The lift just out front of the Kaufhaus Steffl will take you up to the 6th floor. Make sure you don’t forget to look across the street at the beautiful mosaic on the wall. The drinks are a bit pricy and the people a bit snobby, but that’s all worth it once you get to see the amazing view over the rooftops and the opposite laying Saint Stephan’s cathedral.

Loos Bar – Wo Geschichte auf Gegenwart trifft
Officially this tiny bar right in the centre of Vienna is called American Bar, but to locals and design lovers it’s known as Loos Bar. It was build in 1908 by Adolf Loos, a Viennese architect who was way ahead of his time by wanting to reduce architecture to its essentials. He is also the architect of the Vienna Secession with the golden roof (locals like to call it the golden cabbage roof) at Karlsplatz. Drinks are pricey but you could think of them as if it was a trip to the museum.
