On Saturdays, the market along Portobello Road, world famous since it appeared in the movie “Notting Hill” in 1999, becomes a small paradise for second-hand hunters. Whether it’s clothes or antiques, there is something for everyone. From Monday to Friday, it’s a food market, but in the small shops you will find a great selection of lovely things throughout the week.
YMC Shopping
The small London based label YMC has one of their two flagship stores in Soho. Here you can find stylish and wearable clothes for men and women, as well as shoes and accessories such as sunglasses. Plain but top quality designer fashion at affordable prices, which you won’t find everywhere.
Harrods
The luxury department store Harrods is world famous. Even the Royals like to go shopping here once in a while, in which case the whole store is then often closed to the public. Here, a shopping spree really becomes an extraordinary experience! Each department has its own style and is super elaborately decorated – and the escalators in ancient Egyptian opulence are incredible! Especially the food hall is impressive: you will find delicacies, sweet packaged souvenirs, tea and coffee, flowers, meat, cheese and small counters where the food is freshly cooked.
