A brief history 

Sziget Festival started way back in 1993 as a small gathering, unlike the Budapest music festival you know today. Fast forward to 2024, and it’s one of Europe’s biggest and best music festivals, featuring over 1,000 shows across 60 stages over 6 incredible days. 

The amazing Sziget lineup  

This year’s Sziget dates fall from August 7 to 12, and you won’t believe the star-studded lineup. The legendary pop queen Kylie Minogue will be gracing the Main Stage, setting the mood for an unforgettable festival. You’ll also get to see Sam Smith, Liam Gallagher, Halsey, Martin Garrix, and Fred again.. But that’s not all! Artists like Skrillex, Stormzy, Fisher, Raye, Janelle Monáe, Tom Odell, and Louis Tomlinson will also be rocking the stage.

• Bolt Party Arena: Dance all night with Elrow, Q-Dance, Awakenings, Rampage, Next Level, and Martin Garrix’s STMPD RCRDS. 
• Yettel Colosseum: Techno heaven with Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Honey Dijon, KI/KI, Anfisa Letyago, DJ Seinfeld, and Ferrari Rot. 
• The Buzz: Check out new talent like Artemas, Royel Otis, Elefánt, Redzed, Jazzbois, and God Is An Astronaut. 
• dropYard: Hip-hop and rap vibes with Pogány Induló, Songer, L’Entourloop, Sisi, Ezhel, Hundred Sins, Zola, 6363, and the Wavy collective. 
• Global Village: Groove to world music with Bohemian Betyars, Bukahara, Flavia Coelho, Eskorzo, Romano Drom, Besh o Drom, Yagody, and Mitsune. 

Cool new features 

This year, Sziget is stepping up its game with some awesome new features: 

• Welcome zone: A new entrance area with all the info you need. 
• Fan pit: Get up close and personal with your favorite artists. 
• Digital info boards: Real-time updates on exits and taxis. 
• Sustainability: Sziget is going green with organic cotton merch and reduced plastic use.
