Fasnacht Parade aka the main parade
The main event, scheduled for March 9, will kick off at a precise 2:31 PM—a nod to Zurich’s love for punctuality! Downtown Zurich will come alive with a vibrant parade, featuring locals and visitors dressed in amazing costumes. As confetti fills the air, the rhythmic beats of Guggenmusik bands will have you dancing along the Bahnhofstrasse.

Carnival tents
Hirschenplatz in the Niederdorf quarter is in the middle of the action, hosting the “Minira Guggestadl” for three days. At Münsterhof, revelers can dance to the sounds of New Orleans jazz, adding a touch of international flair to the festivities.
