Malin Widmarc-Nilsson new Head of Commerce

MEININGER hotels have appointed Malin Widmarc-Nilsson as Head of Commerce. Malin will be in charge of the sales, marketing, revenue and e-commerce departments.

Malin is an experienced sales and marketing professional, with 24 years of international working experience in the hotel industry. She joins MEININGER from Norse Hotels Scandinavia where she was working as Director of Sales & Marketing. Based in Stockholm Malin has been with Norse Hotels Scandinavia since 2012 where she was responsible for sales and marketing of 13 Accor branded hotels in the budget and mid-market sectors.

Previously, she has worked as Director of Sales & Marketing at the Pullmann Munich, as Director Sales and Marketing for Nikko Hotels, Düsseldorf, as Area Sales Manager for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig and also with Accor and Dorint Hotels in Cologne. Malin started her career in London and has worked in a variety of hotel operations in Sweden, Switzerland and Germany with international hotel chains.

Malin who has a degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales University, USA will be relocating to Berlin to take up her new assignment.

It has ambitious plans for growth, and is keen to establish a presence in all key European cities within the next five years.

In the ‘Treugast Investment Ranking 2013’, the MEININGER Group achieved an AA rating. The group is headquartered in Berlin.
