Paul Roll has been appointed as Senior Advisor of MEININGER Hotels in France

MEININGER Hotels announced today that Paul Roll has been appointed as Senior Advisor, MEININGER Hotels, France. In his capacity as Senior Advisor, Paul will work alongside the MEININGER Board and will be responsible for undertaking a strategic market review and advising on increasing business in France. This role will see him supporting the continued growth of MEININGER utilising his vast experience of the industry and relationships with key decision makers.

MEININGER Hotels wins award for Best Youth Travel Accommodation 2017

MEININGER Hotels are pleased to announce that they have won a Global Youth Travel Award 2017 in the consumer-voted category for Best Youth Travel Accommodation. The Global Youth Travel Awards (GYTAs) honours outstanding market performers in the youth, student and educational travel industry. The Best Youth Travel Accommodation award is voted by youth travellers to recognise an organisation or property that excels in its commitment to providing them excellent experiences.

MEININGER closed an agreement for a hotel in Geneva

MEININGER Hotels and a well-known Swiss developer have signed an agreement for a hotel in Geneva. The hotel, which will be newly constructed, will be located in close proximity to the city center. It will feature 104 rooms and 368 beds and is expected to open in 2020. It will be the second MEININGER project in Switzerland. The hotel group is going to open a hotel in Zurich in fall 2019.

MEININGER Hotels and Foncière des Régions signed an agreement for a hotel in Lyon

MEININGER Hotels and Foncière des Régions, through its subsidiary Foncière des Murs, signed an agreement for a MEININGER Hotel in Lyon, located on Rue Zimmermann, near the city centre. The 169-room and about 580-bed hotel is expected to open mid 2019. This is the fourth joint hotel deal of MEININGER and Foncière des Régions. Three further joint projects in Munich, Paris and Milan are currently under development.

On 1 April, the MEININGER Group will open its first hotel in Leipzig at the heart of the city, close to the main railway station. Located in the old town, it is the ideal starting point from which to explore the city. MEININGER Hotels have signed an agreement for a MEININGER Hotel in Milan. The property with 80 rooms and 268 beds is located in the city of Milan on Strada Privata Calvino 11 close to the Garibaldi train station. It’s going to be the second hotel of the MEININGER group in Milan.

MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West undergoing third expansion

The MEININGER hotel group announced the signing of an agreement for the third expansion phase of MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West. By spring 2018, the hotel will increase its current 1,177 beds to 1,585 beds.
